Title:Enhanced Mental Health Clinicians- Holyoke High North
Location:Holyoke, Massachusetts

RVCC is looking for a Full-Time Enhanced Mental Health Clinician. EMH is a grant that positions clinicians in schools offering individual and school-wide mental health counseling and education. We are looking for a Full Time EMH Clinician for  Holyoke High North. This EMH Position at Holyoke High North follows the school calender year and hours, is offering $23.00 per hour and Health and Dental Insurance is available for this Full-Time position.

Main Duties of the EMH Clinician:

Individual Counseling

  • Crisis Intervention/New Initiatives

  • Informal therapeutic interventions to support  students including: Formal suicide assessments, brief crisis intervention, wrap-around care coordination (i.e., CBHI services) and teaching of social/emotional skills in collaboration with Holyoke High North Adjustment Counselor

  • In accordance with the EMH grant, the clinician is responsible for recognizing and creatively responding to arising needs of individual students and the larger student body.
      • Running support groups for anger management, grief and loss; collaborating with external community agencies to bring socio-emotional resources to Holyoke High North Campus

  • Working closely with school staff and teachers to support students struggling with socioemotional needs.

  • Co-facilitate wellness initiatives and other trauma-informed practices in collaboration with the North Campus School Adjustment Counselor and other school personnel.

  • Membership and participation in the Holyoke High North Care Team and Student Support Team. The clinician will carry an evolving informal caseload for wrap-around care coordination and informal therapy.

  • Work in collaboration with Teen Clinic Nurse Practitioner, Office manager and other Teen Clinic Clinicians to holistically support individual and groups of students.  



    ·  Graduate from an accredited Master’s Level Program in Counseling or Social Work (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)

    ·  Ability to quickly build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of youth

    ·  Understanding and experience with low-income, diverse students in an urban public school setting

    ·  Capacity to take initiative and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team

    ·  Understanding of confidentiality and other ethical issues related to adolescent care

    ·  Experience in setting and holding firm and caring boundaries with adolescents

    ·  Native Spanish-speaking or Spanish-proficiency preferred
